How are the doorknobs finished?
Knobbs doorknobs are sanded and coloured with water based woodstains. They are then sprayed with a minimum of six coats of flooring grade lacquer, smoothed with fine wire wool and finally wax polished to give them a deep lustre. All of these process are carried out by human hand - not machines.
This finishing process gives the knobs and roses an attractive and durable finish. They are also available in sanded only finish for home completion.
Each set comprises of two doorknobs, one with an insert inside and one with a spindle. We supply wooden roses with our standard designs and also have solid brass, nickel or chrome roses available. Your doorknobs will arrive with all the fixings you will need - screws, allan key and grubscrew - everthing is included in the price.
Our doorknobs are not foreign imports - we make them here in our workshop in Pembrokeshire.
